Aero Precision M4E1 Upper Receivers are offered in two configurations - the M4E1 Threaded Upper Receiver and the M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receiver. Our M4E1 Upper Receivers are manufactured from custom forgings, providing billet like aesthetics at a great price. These 2 receivers are nearly identical in every way except for how the handguard attaches to the upper receiver.

M4E1 Threaded Upper Receiver

The M4E1 Threaded Upper Receiver utilizes traditional 1.250"x18TPI barrel nut threads. This upper receiver is compatible with most AR15 pattern barrel nuts and handguards on the market. This receiver is the best option if you want the most choices when selecting a handguard.

M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receiver

The M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receiver utilizes a once piece mounting system for the handguard that is integrated into the upper receiver forging itself, rather than using the barrel nut as seen with more traditional upper receiver and handguard designs. This system is more rigid than traditional mounting solutions and lowers the total number of components putting force on your barrel, providing a true free-float design and increasing overall consistency.

The M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receiver is compatible with Aero Precision AR15 Enhanced Handguards and Quantum Handguards (discontinued). These handguards are still compatible with threaded upper receivers as well when utilized with a BAR Barrel Nut.
